Grade 4 Science & Social Studies Scope & Sequence with Islamic Studies Integration

Create a thoughtful Grade 4 year that helps students understand both how the natural world works and how people, places, governments, and historical events shape society.

The Science portion explores energy, waves, light, sound, plant and animal structures, senses, rocks, erosion, landscape change, natural resources, environmental impact, and engineering.

The Social Studies portion develops geography, historical inquiry, Indigenous and early histories, colonization and exchange, civics, government, economics, trade, resources, and multiple perspectives.

Islamic Studies connections are intentionally meaningful rather than constant. Students may explore stewardship, conservation, water and land responsibility, historical trade routes, Hajj routes as a geography connection, Muslim trade networks, and comparative civic ideas.

Some topics intentionally have little or no Islamic integration so students can study historical events and scientific ideas on their own terms.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: complete Grade 4 Science and Social Studies curriculum maps, two 36-week pacing guides, detailed scope & sequences, standards-informed learning goals, Islamic Studies integration guidance, vocabulary, learning targets, and planning templates.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a digital curriculum planning packet and scope & sequence. It is not a scripted daily curriculum, textbook, workbook, or experiment kit. Social Studies requirements vary by location and may need to be customized to local standards.

FOR PERSONAL & EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY: This resource may not be resold, redistributed, shared, uploaded, commercially copied, altered for resale, or used to create derivative products for sale.
